The Asian adaptation of Principles of Electromagnetics, sixth edition, is designed to serve as a textbook for undergraduate students of electrical and electronics engineering . Divided into five parts, the book provides an overview of vector analysis and mathematical concepts in Part 1. It then uses a vectors-first approach to explain electrostatics and magnetostatics in Parts 2 and 3, respectively. Part 4 provides a balanced presentation of time-varying fields, waves, and applications such as transmission lines, waveguides, and antennas. As most practical problems can be solved by means of numerical techniques, the last part of the book covers the different numerical methods with practical applications and MATLAB® programs. Streamlined to facilitate student understanding, this edition features numerous solved examples, in every chapter, which explain how the theory presented in the text can be used to solve different kinds of problems.
